‘Some bonds are written long before love finds a name.’ This couldn’t be truer for Celebrity MUA Shradha Luthra and Indian footballer, Nitesh Aswani, who have known each other for 15 years, and are now all set to tie their lifelong bond into the sacred knot of marriage.

All about their Pre-wedding Festivities

The couple celebrated their pre-wedding festivities over three beautifully curated days at venues across Mumbai. The celebration started with an intimate welcome dinner for 20, followed by an intimate Roka Ceremony, and an Engagement Party with 50 to 60 of their closest people.
A Deep-dive into their Planning Journey

“Even before we had a date or a plan in place, the one thing I was certain about was having as our wedding planners. Years ago, at a casual dinner, I introduced them to Nitesh with – meet our Wedding Planner and that’s really where it all began,” Luthra reminisces as we deep-dive into the planning journey. “I can be obsessively particular about things, so naturally, I was deeply involved in every part of the planning. My older sister was just as involved. I would automatically loop her in on a group call without a second thought with planners, the decor team, or entertainment. Nitesh, on the other hand, was calm in the chaos. He let us take the lead and stayed completely relaxed throughout.” As a couple that finds solace in smaller and more meaningful settings, the size of their was never up for discussion. “From the very beginning, we knew we didn’t want a large crowd. We wanted the kind of energy that comes from being surrounded by people who genuinely matter.”
Decor Moodboard: Details that Set the Vibe
“The aesthetic came together quite naturally because I had a very clear vision from the start. We had mood boards for each event. For the Roka, the idea was a fresh, serene garden vibe with a restrained palette of whites, ivories, and greens. For the Celebration Night, it shifted to a more layered, romantic aesthetic with richer tones and moodier lighting. And for the Sit-Down Dinner, we kept it intimate and elegant with deep burgundy and candlelight playing a big role,” shares Luthra. To draw deeper inspiration from their decor, I went straight to the artist who weaved it all together, Ambika Gupta, Founder . She adds, “In every event, instead of overwhelming the senses, we let each element breathe, from the decadent grazing table to subtle scent trails of mogra and rose, creating an atmosphere of understated elegance that felt deeply personal and memorable.”
Roka Ceremony Decor & Vibe

The vision was soft, serene, and cohesive. “All our guests and family wore shades of sage and mint green, while Nitesh and I were in ivory. I wanted the setting to feel like one elegant painting. Nothing loud or jarring, just a gentle mood that carried through the people, the decor, and the atmosphere,” reveals Luthra. As for decor, a stunning Celtic knot-inspired backdrop framed the couple. It beautifully reflected Shradha and Nitesh’s journey: two distinct individuals bound together by a timeless bond, symbolising eternal unity and anchoring the entire space in meaning and magic. “Since Nitesh is a national footballer, we also wove in subtle football-inspired elements into the decor – a small, personal touch to reflect his journey and make the celebration even more unique to the couple. Every layer of this setup was curated to create a sensory and heartfelt experience,” says Gupta!

Multi-Sensory Experience
One of the most special touches at the celebration was scenting the venue. Jo Malone London helped the couple create an atmosphere that felt like a memory captured in fragrance. “It added a deeply personal and sensory layer to the evening, and so many guests mentioned how unforgettable it made the space feel. It wasn’t just about how everything looked, but also about how it made people feel the moment they walked in,” Luthra shares. The couple also gifted each of their guests a Jo Malone perfume, complete with the date embossed and beautifully personalised boxes. It was the couple’s way of sharing something meaningful with their guests, a keepsake they could carry home and always associate with this memory and celebration.

In conclusion, Luthra shares, “I’ve always been someone who’s deeply drawn to aesthetics. Not just in makeup, but in the overall visual storytelling of a space. It comes naturally to me to focus on every little detail, whether it’s the placement of a pin or the way tones and textures flow together in a room. Florals played a big part in bringing that vision to life. I’m very particular about using only real flowers, and for the Roka, it felt like we were celebrating in the middle of a living garden. The fresh blooms, paired with a restrained colour palette, brought in a quiet sense of luxury. It wasn’t over the top, just deeply thoughtful and immersive. To me, that is what true luxury looks like. It comes from the intention behind every choice and the way everything ties together with care and emotion.”
